Seizure, by Roger Hiorns

Modifying small spaces in such a way that the perception of where you are changes completely, allowing you to escape from where you are to a parallel reality is something fascinating and that I’d like to do. I believe we spend most of the time surrounded by environments we don’t like at all, designed to keep us busy but at the same time locking our thoughts and imagination.

Escapism and the creation of alternative realities is important, not as a way of running away from problems but as a way of solving problems through divergent thinking.

If you want to find more about this installation and the way how the crystals were created, read this article.

Part of the Treehotel in Sweden, this tree-house if made of mirrors, making it almost invisible. Nice excuse to go to Sweden again, eh?

I would love to have all these pencils. And display them in such a way.

Another great idea to do at home.

I found this through abduzeedo, brilliant work of Romain Lenancke, would love to do the same at home.
